Understanding The Works At “ELECTROLUX PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE DAYS”
Fronted by 4 main business units which are Foodservice, Laundry, Chains and Electrolux Grand Cuisine, Electrolux is the only company in the world to offer a complete range of professional products for kitchens and laundries under one global Brand and it recently held an Open House in celebration of its Excellence Days.
Examples of Excellence include the East European team’s success in winning a project for Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia where Electrolux Professional Foodservice and Laundry equipment will be holding the forte in more than 15 hotels and restaurants for the Olympic site. The Brand is identified through product specialisation as proven by its appointment as the sole supplier of food preparation equipment by the French public purchasing authority l’Union des Groupements d’Achats Publics (UGAP). Excellence also means customer involvement and Electrolux looks into ‘thoughtful innovation’ whereby customers are ‘codesigners’ with the team, resulting in tailor-made solutions such as the Carlsberg Draughtmaster™ which features recyclable materials and zero CO2 emissions.
Excellence Days was held over 9 days in October, with its Innovation Centers offering professionals a total experience through visits to their showrooms, training kitchens, meeting chefs and hospitality teams at the manufacturing sites and laboratories, watch live cooking and laundry demonstrations as well as factory tours. From celebrity chefs to catering professionals, the Electrolux Innovation Center receives
about 6,000 visitors annually and it is only fitting that relevant personnel, like the Japanese Food Industry Association, go on a comprehensive tour of the Cook-Chill system, the premium Molteni concept stove, thermaline and the Grand Cuisine kitchen; the first and only cooking system bringing Michelin star restaurant experiences into homes with a combination of performance, design and ease of use in 9 products.
Close to 100 visitors from Asia Pacific participated in this event, visiting both our Vallenoncello and Sursee factories.
As shared by Ms. Kim Underhill, the Regional Head for S.E.A and India, “Such event provides our participants the opportunities to interact with our in-house experts from commercial to marketing, products, R&D and culinary application etc. In addition, the networking will strengthen the partnerships we have with our dealers, consultants and customers in the hospitality industry.”
With 90 years in the industry of making professional equipment for a demanding industry, Electrolux is chosen by many European restaurants in the most recent Michelin Guide and 1 out of 3 major international hotel chains are fitted with Electrolux Professional products in their kitchen or laundry facilities. And Excellence Days was a significant event to celebrate the Brand’s successes and to improve the level of confidence in partners and customers towards Electrolux.
