Turners are used to flip flat items like patties or buns / breads as the flat surface allows pressing down of the items to for even cooking and attractive grill lines.

The scraper is used to remove stuck particles of food on the grill for a clean surface to cook the next batch of food.

Tongs are common sense to have for its flexibility to pick up items from deep pots or high flames. In a hot environment, a fully stainless steel one is recommended as those with nylon tips or silicone grips may not withstand heat in the long run.

A box grater typically has four different cutting dimensions on each side to provide fine shavings, slices or coarse shreds of hard vegetables, fruits, cheese; even hard boiled eggs.
