Meiko-7Meiko-8A prelude to FHA2014, if you may, Meiko brought its dealers, consultants and fellow associates together for an evening of luxurious wining and dining in its official launch of the M-iClean in conjunction with Asia’s largest hospitality showcase. The event was held in the evening before FHA commenced and set the tone of what its guests might come to expect during their visit to the Meiko booth. It was a simple and classy affair where the manufacturer intended for guests to mingle, meet new people or catch up with each other during pre-dinner drinks session.

As guests took their seats in the dining hall of Grand Hyatt Singapore, the lights were dimmed and a laser light show created by a team from Australia illuminated the walls as an array of lights bounced to the beat of an up-tempo tune, setting the mood for the night. After the dazzling display, Meiko’s Group MD, Mr. Burkhard Randel and Director of Sales & Marketing Mr. Klaus Engesser took to the stage and introduced the new M-iClean Undercounter Series; the successor of the globally recognised M-iQ conveyor dish and warewashers. Speaking about advanced technology that met aesthetics, the M-iClean was characterised by the colours of blue, green and red which are fully functional to symbolise “ready for operation”, “washing efficiently” and “important message”. The idea of M-iClean is not just of clean wares and we watched a video depicting carefree emotions and movements surrounded by water. It was perhaps one of the rare videos that did not feature products and reminded guests of the simple pleasures water can bring, which is the encompassing representation of Meiko’s M-iClean and was showcased via a vertical water fall fountain.

The show was not over and on the right end of the dining hall, panels slowly opened up to reveal Grand Hyatt’s new kitchen – an exclusive launch for Meiko’s esteemed guests. As its chef prepared the dinner, people eagerly left their seats to catch a look of the kitchen’s concept and a glimpse of chefs, who are usually behind the scenes, in action. A 4-course dinner was soon served and spirits were high the entire night as guests continued mingling in between courses and the event was a perfect cap to a Monday night and a precursor to the show that began the next day.
