Spanning across 11,100 square meters of the exhibition area, FHV2017 housed a footfall of 513 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions, including 20 international group pavilions of Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.

Attracting a notable 12,842 trade visitors from Vietnam and further afield – a healthy increase of 17.3 per cent from the previous edition, FHV2017 has proven to be the preferred strategic business and procurement platform, further solidifying its position as the event of choice for the industry players from across the region.

From the finest food ingredients and products, drinks and beverages, to food service equipment, kitchen equipment, hotel amenities, and more, FHV2017 catered to every facet of the food and hospitality sectors.

As in previous editions, FHV2017 attracted many new international brands and first-time exhibitors aside from the presence of prominent returning companies such as Abbotts & Delaunay, Anchor Food Professionals, Brunner- Anliker, Charles Wembley, Fonterra Australia, Freser International, Hobart, NH Foods and numerous others, adding to the growing momentum of the show since its initial launch. The vast majority of exhibitors have expressed satisfaction towards the quality of sales leads gained as well as valuable business contacts made with like-minded industry partners.

The substantial presence of key decision makers is a testament to the insurmountable importance and value FHV brings to the industry. Trade visitors from 47 countries and regions were remarkably pleased, flocking to the show floor on the lookout for top-of-the-line products and services, new potential suppliers and viable business opportunities.

From hotel investment opportunities to Vietnamese cuisine values, from food and wine pairing to butchery training, and food safety issues, FHV’s concurrent conference sessions provided an opportunity to network, exchange expertise and improve the knowledge base. Vietnam Hotel Association brought on board a power-packed symposium entitled “Hotel Business and Investment in Vietnam”, gathering a unique and international mix of inspiring industry experts, business leaders and luxury hotel owners from Pullman Saigon, Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Caravelle, Capella Hotel Group, Vingroup, to name a few.

Held alongside FHV2017, Vietnam Culinary Challenge 2017 (VNCC) was an innovative cooking competition that engaged culinary enthusiasts to spotlight their cooking talents and encourage their development. 255 individual contestants along with 3 teams gathered to compete in various challenges such as Vietnam cuisine, hot cooking, pastry, fruits and vegetables carving, where Mr. Watcharapon Chareonwimonrak from the Thailand Culinary Academy crowned grand champion.
