Meiko’s WasteStar CC aims to provide a stand-alone and simple system for kitchens – simply empty vessels with food waste into the feed chute and press a button for the grinder to work. It crushes all food waste including bones, seafood shells, crustacean exoskeletons that are reduced into 8mm particles. The slurry can be either piped into the tank or directly in a food waste digester or composting unit, which converts the food waste into fertiliser or grey water, which can be re-used for secondary applications like gardening.
