Into its 8th edition, Food&HotelVietnam2015 will be back with a bigger international presence that makes up 75% of the show floor with confirmations from five group pavilions from 2013; namely Australia, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and USA alongside new pavilions
from Spain and Poland. The event expects to see more than 450 exhibiting companies from 35 countries gather at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) with prominent exhibitors like BT International, New Viet Dairy, Simplex and Sunshine Equipment
among those returning to the show. The exhibition will also be infused with exciting competitions as the Vietnam Barista Competition; in its 4th edition continues to be the premier platform for local baristas to pit their skills. Meanwhile, Saigon Professional Chefs Guild is organising the Vietnam Culinary Challenge with a focus on food from Indochina.
According to Vietnam’s General Statistics Office (GSO), sales of accommodation and restaurant services witnessed a year-on-year increase of 12.8% to reach US$9.62 billion in 2014. By January 2015, Vietnam’s market will be completely open to foreign retailers under WTO obligations while import duties for more than 10,000 tariff lines will be reduced to zero under the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement. “Companies with a keen interest to gain a slice of this ever-growing market will be able to showcase their products and services to a concentrated gathering of buyers and decision makers from the Vietnam and Indochina markets.
