There is no denying that the food business is a multi-billion trade around the world today. The Malaysian International Food & Beverage Exhibition (MIFB), an annual trade fair, has become an important platform for industry players to congregate for business expansion and opportunities.
This year’s event – From the 12th to the 14th of July 2012 at Putra World Trade Centre has attracted a participation of more than 500 booths.
Visitor count has seen an increase of more than 11% throughout the 3 days which saw visitors coming from 25 countries around the world.
Among the highlights at the show this year was the Heroes Fruit Carving Showcase – delighting visitors with their intricate and fascinating skills and The HALAL HUB – to promote greater collaboration in Halal certification to the world, while further enhancing Malaysia’s premier position as a global halal hub.
Concurrently, 3 other focused events were held:
• Istimewa Malaysia – the best of Malaysia’s specialty food,
• Food Future 2012 – showing the latest packaging, innovations and services,
• 8th Malaysia’s International Agro-Bio Business Conference 2012 – featuring prominent speakers and food professionals from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand & Malaysia.
